We all want to travel abroad and we are so excited when the opportunity arises, that we forget to learn more detailed about the agency that provides abroad job placement.
Tips for a safe departure:
1) If the passport is expired, you are illegally in a country, you will have problems with law enforcement bodies;
2) Take with you a sum of money that will allow you to bear certain expenses until you receive the first salary;
3) Be informed about aspects of labor law, customs and traditions of the country where you go;
4) Find the phone number and the address of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova from the country where you go;
5) The passport is valid for 10 years. Make sure that it does not expire until the date when you return to your country (in fact it must be valid for 6 months after your return);
6) Before signing a contract take professional advice from a lawyer;
7) The employment contract is recorded at the Employment Agency;
8) In order to employ, you need an employment contract, written in a language you know;
9) It is necessary to know the language of the country where you go, at least the most important phrases;
10) The passport is a document that identifies you in your country and abroad. Do not give it to anyone!
11) Ask your representative of the intermediary company to present company business license, business registration certificate and status. Check if the license indicates that the company concerned is entitled to employ citizens of Moldova to work in a particular country and it is not expired;
12) If the firm asks you to pay not in Moldova, but directly to its foreign partners, and this fact is not stipulated in the contract - the procedure is illegal;
13) If you applied for a job abroad to work through an intermediary agency you should verify at the Employment Agency if the company is properly licensed;
14) Learn about the average salary in the country you go. The proposed salary here may be too small to cover the minimum expenses in that country;
15) Check at the embassy of the country where you go if such a person or agency has the right to employ foreigners to work;
16) When services are proposed to you by an agent, you must know the person's name and surname. Check his/her legitimacy: the firm - intermediate must have a certified power of attorney at a notary or contract where will be specified the right of person to employ people to work abroad;
17) A visa is the permission to enter / to stay in/ to leave a foreign country, applied in the passport. There are several visa regimes differ from country to country;
18) Visa must accord with the scope of travel (you can not legally work with a tourist visa, it only allows you to travel);
19) Visa is issued by the Consular Department of the Embassy of the respective country in Moldova or in the country accredited to provide consular services to our citizens;
20) When you arrive in the country of destination you should go to the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova to find out which is the authorized state structure where you have to register;
21) Leave much information to your relatives or close relatives (the address where you go, the route, a contact telephone, telephone numbers and addresses of those with whom you go, a set of copies of documents, passport, visa, contract, etc..)
22) Ask to present you the contract between the company from Moldova and the company from abroad, which must be certified in the country where you go to work;
23) Passport is drawn up by the passport office where must go in person, nobody has the right to do this for you.
